Pole taster course
Would you like to try pole dancing? Our beginners' course is suitable for all fitness levels and ages. You will learn the basics and familiarise yourself with the studio. The moves are explained individually and combined into a simple choreography.
Poledance Beginner
Have you already done a taster course? And want to start pole dancing? Here you will learn your first spins on the static and spinning pole.
Poledance Intermediate
You have already successfully completed our beginner course! Now you're ready for your first overhead figures. Things are getting more acrobatic here. We teach inverts, superman, butterfly, simple transitions etc. as well as more demanding floorwork elements and the first drops.
Poledance Advanced
Here the ability of Shouldermount variations, Elbow Aysha, Jade, Brass Monkey etc. is required. Lessons include Handsprings, Iron X, Deadlift and Dragon Tail. Our professional level is also ideal for preparing for championships. The multiple German polesport champion Lea Roth leads this course and makes you fit!
Exotic Pole Basics
Exotic Pole is generally danced on high heels and the dancing is initially more in focus in this course than the acrobatic elements.
We generally start with light strength exercises and the exotic basic moves, which are then transformed into a beginner-friendly choreography.
We recommend about 3 months of pole dance beginner training before starting the course.
Exotic pole shoes can be hired.
Exotic Pole
The course is suitable for students who are already familiar with the basics. After the floor-based warm-up, you will learn a chorography with acrobatic elements. We will show you the secrets of easy jumps, flowing transitions and mesmerising footwork. High heels are encouraged but not required. Knee pads are recommended.
Aerial Hoop
Aerial hoop, also called air ring or lyre, is also developing into a trend sport alongside pole dance. This is a stainless steel hoop suspended from the ceiling, in and on which many different figures can be performed and even choreographies danced.
Pole Strap
A pole strap is a loop that is attached to the pole. You can attach either a hand or a foot to it. When training with pole straps, familiar figures and combinations from "normal" courses are used. The difficulty is increased a little, but so is the fun, as you swing along on the pole straps. This course is offered for beginners and intermediate students.
Aerial Hammock
The course involves training in a loop of cloth that is attached to the ceiling. Hammock involves wrapping, hanging or dropping into the sling with a flowing body movement. Various dance and acrobatic elements are taught on the sling. You will build up your deep muscles, increase your flexibility and improve your balance.
Aerial Yoga
Aerial Yoga is a fascinating new form of training with an artistic sling, combining aerial arts with yoga and effective functional sling training. The inverted postures known from Hatha Yoga are unique and are performed in a hanging position in Aerial Yoga: this reduces the pressure on the intervertebral discs and allows the back muscles to relax.
Pole Conditioning
Pole Conditioning is an effective HIT workout on the pole. Strength and endurance exercises and figures are trained on the pole. This will help you as a participant in your pole training and bring you further. No previous experience is required for this course. Our course concept offers a suitable exercise variation for every fitness and pole level.

Personal training allows you to train individually according to your level.

Here we shake our butts. Funny, crazy, sexy! You learn butt-shaking techniques. Please bring knee pads to the workshop.

Jumping Fit
Jumping Fitness is an intensive strength endurance training that is performed on a specially designed trampoline. It banishes stress and bad moods, stimulates the muscles, is easy on the joints, strenuous and without muscle soreness.

I have been training and teaching pole dance, exotic pole and aerial hoop for more than 8 years now, so I have acquired several pole, hoop and group fitness trainer licences over the years.
I got into pole dancing during a study trip to California. I quickly caught "pole fever", as I had never found another sport (apart from recreational horse riding) that I enjoyed so much and at the same time demanded so much: strength, flexibility, endurance and elegance.
Whereas in the past I would have described myself as absolutely unsporty, today I can even pass on my acquired knowledge and skills to others. In addition, I have already gained my first championship experience. The polevirus has infected me and I am looking forward to many more experiences!

I've been dancing for as long as I can remember. It all started with ballet, which was first replaced by hip-hop and then by classical couple dancing. But I came to pole dancing more by choice when I accompanied a good friend to a taster course a few years ago.
That evening I fell in love with the sport. Through pole and its many facets, I found my inner strength and built up an unimagined self-confidence. Since that time, fun, ambition and
I look forward to seeing my students every hour as I pass on my love for the sport. For me, progress and the joy that comes with it is the greatest gift and I want to see my girls and boys grow. Pole is more than just a sport for me and I like to pass that on.
I am a professionally trained stage dancer from Australia and have more than 10 years of dance experience on a national and international level. I have danced in Moulin Rouge Paris, Cirque du Vegas and have been a showgirl in many dinner shows such as Radio Regenbogen - Palazzo Mannheim and Palais Landau.
At Pole and Move I mainly teach Burlesque, Chairdance and Aerial Hoop and Pole Beginner classes. I would be delighted if you came to visit me in Mannheim.
"Never mess with a woman who hangs upside-down for fun"!
Before I came to pole dancing, I was on skis, snowboard and horseback.
After a pole taster course, however, the elegance and versatility of this sport excited me and I was immediately impressed by what you can achieve at airy heights with discipline and continuous training.
I also particularly enjoy the resulting photos with the figures I have learned, on which I can document my constant progress!
I am fully motivated, passionate and enthusiastic and I really enjoy seeing how my students develop and thrive in pole sport!
Dancing has been my absolute passion for as long as I can remember. I started classical ballet at the age of five and have tried almost every dance style since then. But it was pole that I literally got stuck on.
No sport has ever challenged me more and given me more pleasure. I am now happy to pass on this feeling of happiness to the participants in my courses at Pole and Move. After my internal training, I mainly teach exotic and beginner courses in Ketsch.
Before I started pole dancing, I practised HIIT as a sport for 3 years and was also a HIIT trainer for 2 years. In 2019, a friend gave me a taster session for fun.
I never expected that pole dancing would be so much fun for me and that I would be capable of elegant movements! Now pole dancing is a passion that constantly challenges me, but also allows me to be creative, because I like to discover new variations and am always looking for the right music to go with the combos.
As your qualified Pole & Move trainer, I not only want to infect you with my passion for pole dancing, but also help you progress in your training with lots of motivation. I am a fan of beautiful spinning combos and attach great importance to clean and elegant execution.
I discovered my love of pole dancing at Pole and Move and am now an internally qualified trainer. However, my sporting background is in floor and apparatus gymnastics, so I love small, strength-intensive combinations of great and versatile figures.
As a trainer you will usually find me in the Mannheim studio. In my classes I would like to share some of my joy and the fun of pole and hoop with you.
My name is Lisa. I've been dancing and doing sport for as long as I can remember. Pole dancing has become my passion. It's much more than just sport. I am a certified aerial hoop trainer and was trained as a pole dance trainer at Pole and Move.
You can find me in Eppelheim in the Exotic Pole and Beginner Pole area.
Before pole dancing, I kept trying out different sports, but I never found a sport that I was really passionate about. Since I took part in a taster course at Pole and Move, I was immediately caught up in pole fever and have finally found a sport that is the perfect mix of gymnastics and dance for me.
Today, pole dancing has become my passion and I always enjoy going to training without feeling like I have to force or motivate myself to exercise.
I eventually trained as a trainer at Pole and Move and teach pole dance classes in Ketsch and Heidelberg.
I am delighted to be able to introduce you to this wonderful sport.
Before I came to pole dancing, I had already tried out many different sports - but none of them had inspired and motivated me so much. The combination of strength and flexibility, as well as the rapid progress, have made pole dancing my favourite sport.
I am now an internally trained trainer at Pole and Move and look forward to sharing the fun and passion for pole with you.
Even as a small child, I was always running around outside and was interested in various activities. But dancing or acrobatics were never part of it. I started to incorporate regular strength training in 2012.
I got "infected" with pole in 2014 when a pole studio opened in my home town. Since then, I've been addicted to the sport and love learning new things and overcoming the many challenges that await me in every training session. I really had to show stamina for some of the moves. The joy when I succeed is of course all the greater.
I'm really looking forward to getting to know you, "infecting" you with pole, celebrating the small and big successes and having lots of fun.
I completed my training as a choreographer and dance teacher in Ukraine. After that I worked as a dance teacher for 3 years, teaching modern, classical and standard dance as well as fitness and stretching to children and adults.
Dancing and choreographic elegance have always been my passion because of their expressive possibilities and emotionality. I discovered pole dancing a few years ago and it has been my favourite sport ever since. I am particularly enthusiastic about exotic pole because of the special combination of strength and endurance with dancing elegance. I would like to convey this enthusiasm for expressive dance in my training.
My roots lie in standard and Latin dancing. Before I discovered polo, I was part of a Latin formation for two years and was able to get a taste of competition dancing there.
I've been training at Pole and Move since 2019 and am now certain that pole dancing is the perfect sport for me. No feeling compares to finally pulling off a trick you've been struggling with for weeks and I'm happy to be able to pass on my love of pole to others.
I have been a trainer at Pole and Move since 2018.
My strengths lie in dance expression, elegance and improvisation.
Besides the important basics and choreography, you will learn to develop your personal style and expression.
I teach Pole Beginner, Aerial Hoop Beginner & Intermediate, and Stretching classes.
In my classes I would like to share my enthusiasm for pole sport with you.
I look forward to great lessons with you!
I'm Anabel, 19 years old and I started pole dancing in December 2021. Sport has always been an important part of my life - whether it's swimming, horse riding, archery or martial arts - I've always loved exercise.
But it was poling that first awakened a fiery ambition in me. I love how strength, flexibility and feeling flow together and give me a whole new feeling for my body.
Once in the air, I leave the rest of the world on the ground and when I dance, the world stands still for me. I think that's what you call passion and I'm very happy to share this passion.
- 2nd place Open Europe Pole Champion 2023
Pole dancing is the perfect balance to my main job in the office. I love this dance sport and work with great ambition on new acrobatic elements, creative choreographies and new techniques on the spinning pole.
My experiences from roller skating and related exhibition skating bring me to new funny ideas and strong dance expression. Through regular and hard training I will grow together with my students and it gives me great pleasure to share my enthusiasm for dance and movement!
My name is Duygu and I've recently joined the team of trainers at the Pole and Move studio. When I started pole dancing in 2020, I could only dream about it because I had neither strength nor flexibility.
But even during my taster session, I realised that the Pole and Move studio is a place without ego or judgement. After the 70-minute course, I left the studio full of endorphins.
I look forward to you exploring your skills with me and leaving your training sessions full of endorphins.
As a young child, I discovered my love of acrobatics in competitive gymnastics and took part in many competitions.
Some time ago, I was inspired by the elegance of pole acrobatics in a taster course at Pole and Move, and so I discovered a new love for dance and strength sports on the pole.
I want to inspire my students in the beginner course in Mannheim with the aesthetics of this sport and the joy of choreography through combinations of dance elements and basics.
I want to share the fun, the happiness of success and the passion with you!
My heart beats for pole dancing, at first it was out of curiosity to try something new, after training in martial arts for a very long time, I am now even a qualified pole and move trainer.
The combination of strength, coordination and the confidence to surpass yourself inspires me again and again in poling.
I am happy to pass on my knowledge and to be able to accompany the beginning of a few more Pole stories.
I love that Pole gives me the opportunity to improve my performance and skills outside the pressure of a team structure but still within a team.
Sport challenges you, you have to grow beyond yourself, push yourself physically to your limits, but at the same time it encourages a connection to your own body and thus also self-confidence. All this in a protected environment with many great personalities who accompany and support you along the way.
I think it's great to be able to pass on my love of sport as a trainer and I'm looking forward to teaching one or two of you in my course.
"Your only limit is your mind"
My name is Claudia and I started pole dancing at Pole & Move in 2018. Before that, I was never sporty and the idea of a taster course was more of an idea. But this sport inspired me right from the start and has become my greatest passion.
And it doesn't matter how unathletic you were before, what figure you have or how old you are - pole dancing can be learnt by anyone. Above all, nowhere else have I experienced so much mutual support.
Now, as a trainer, I want to share my passion with you, pass on tips and advice in class, push everyone towards their personal goals and have fun together.
See you in the studio in Heidelberg, I look forward to seeing you!
I'm Kristin and I've been pole dancing since 2023. As a child I was a competitive swimmer and since my youth you could find me in the gym almost every day.
In the meantime, I have dedicated myself entirely to pole dancing and am constantly working with Pole & Move to improve.
I have also been trained internally as a pole dance trainer and look forward to accompanying you on your pole dance journey.
Even as a child and teenager, I danced in a guard and show dance club with tournament experience. With my group at the time, we won titles such as Vice German Champion and Vice European Champion.
A few years ago, I was looking for a new dance challenge and came across pole dancing.
I am now passionate about training and am also an internally qualified trainer for pole dance beginners and stretching classes. I'm really looking forward to getting you excited about pole dancing in your early days. In the stretching class, I will also help you to increase your flexibility, which is an advantage for some pole dance moves. 😊
I come from roller derby, a full-contact sport on roller skates, but I felt the need for new challenges. I had wanted to try pole dancing for a long time and then I got stuck straight away.
Pole dancing is a lot of fun, but I also discovered my love for cardio training at Jumping Fitness with Pole and Move.
I am now a licensed jumping trainer and teach the jumping course in Ketsch.
I look forward to welcoming you as a participant in my course and infecting you with my positive energy.
I am a qualified sports and fitness manager and run a fitness studio full-time. Pole dancing is also one of my favourite pastimes and I am passionate about teaching pole and dance classes in Ketsch and Heidelberg in my spare time.
I am a freelance fitness and dance trainer and my love for sport started at the age of 5 as a competitive gymnast.
Afterwards, I became enthusiastic about carnival and show dancing and started working as a choreographer and trainer for the first time. My fascination for pole dancing and pole fitness also arose from this time. The elegance and aesthetics of this sport enchanted me immediately and so I decided to learn pole acrobatics. I have been teaching pole dance with great enthusiasm and dedication for 3 years now and am especially happy to be able to share my great passion with you at Pole and Move.
I am a physiotherapist and also focus on movement and strengthening in my therapy.
The combination of strength, dance elegance and flexibility has fascinated me since my first pole lesson. I am delighted to be able to pass on this motivation as a pole dance trainer.
I started with classical ballet as a child. Over the course of my life, I tried out various other types of sport and dance. But none has inspired me as much as pole dancing.
For the first time, I no longer felt like I had to overcome my inner bastard to go to training. I always look forward to a training day. Above all, the progress that you can make in a short space of time contributes enormously to motivation and enjoyment.
I was all the more pleased when I was able to do the basic trainer training at Pole and Move so that I could pass on my joy to you in my beginner and stretching courses.
I discovered my enthusiasm for pole dancing in 2019 during a taster course at Pole and Move.
Since then, pole dancing has become an integral part of my life and the perfect balance to my full-time office job. I love passing on my passion for pole dancing to my students and, as an internally trained instructor, I literally show them the most beautiful way to lose the ground under their feet.
I mainly teach in the morning studio at Studio Pole and Move Ludwigshafen.
I have a bachelor's degree in fitness science and fitness economics and run my own physiotherapy practice. I also have many additional qualifications in the fields of medical training, fitness, rehabilitation and pole dance and am therefore part of the Pole and Move instructor team.
I have been teaching at Pole and Move for many years and can mainly be found in the Heidelberg and Ketsch studios. My focus there is on teaching pole dance, stretching, mobility and children's classes.
I have enjoyed dancing and sport since I was a child. I was in ballet, gymnastics and later in youth dance classes and also trained in tai chi and kung fu for several years. In 2022, I "just wanted to try out" pole dancing and did a taster session with friends at Pole and Move.
I was immediately gripped by pole fever, which I have wanted to pass on to my students since 2024. I am particularly enthusiastic about the combination of dance, acrobatics and aesthetics and I love the fact that all pole dancers have their own unique and unmistakable style. In my opinion, there is no other sport that has such a positive effect on your own body awareness and self-confidence. You learn to perceive and appreciate your body in a whole new way and the fantastic things it is capable of.
Although my passion is dancing, I had never managed to turn dancing into a sport. That changed when I joined the Pole and Move pole dance class. I was immediately hooked and discovered a new love!
Pole dancing was exactly what I had always been looking for; the perfect mix of sport and dance.
To this day, I go to every training session with full joy and never feel like I have to motivate myself to exercise.
I have recently joined Pole & Move and am delighted to see the positive impact this sport has on our students every lesson.
I am a trainee physiotherapist and internally trained Pole and Move trainer.
I discovered my enthusiasm for dancing at the age of 6 in ballet and for some years now my favourite sport has been pole dancing. I mainly teach classes up to intermediate level in Ketsch.
Dancing runs through my life like a red thread: I started with jazz at the age of 5, then hip-hop, dance theatre, carnival dancing, roller skating, figure skating and cheerleading. I've been pole dancing since my semester abroad in Brazil in 2016.
At the pole studio in Sao Paulo, I not only learnt the local language and made good friends, but also discovered a great passion: dancing and acrobatics on the pole. My favourite moves are the "Flexy" figures, which is why I am so passionate about teaching stretching, beginner and intermediate courses. I am also sporty without pole, I love outdoor sports such as snowboarding, diving, wakeboarding and surfing.
I have a state examination in sports science and am a qualified trainer in gymnastics, rhythm, dance and apparatus gymnastics.
I have also been training at my favourite studio Pole and Move in Eppelheim since 2023 and am currently also a trainer for the Stronger for Pole courses there.
I am happy about all my course participants and to make you stronger and fitter for pole training.
I'm Aaliyah and I'm 22 years old. I recently joined the Pole and Move family as a pole stretch trainer! In my childhood and youth, I danced in a guard club, and a few months ago I developed a new love in the Pole And Move Studio. I look forward to preparing you for the pole dance classes with stretching!
I discovered my passion for dancing at an early age. I started ballet at primary school before switching to jazz and modern dance, which I practised competitively for over 6 years.
In 2022, I discovered my enthusiasm for pole dancing during a taster course. The combination of dance, strength and elegance as well as the quick learning successes motivated me and boosted my self-confidence. Now I'm looking forward to passing on my experience as a pole dance trainer and accompanying others on their sporting journey.
I attended my first taster session out of sheer curiosity, and although I was completely exhausted at the end, the feeling afterwards was simply indescribable.
I was fascinated by how much I had learnt in just one hour and was keen to continue! Never before have I experienced a sport that is not about 'seeing and being seen', but about doing something good for yourself and your body. You support each other and are happy together when you have achieved the "impossible". Because this sport teaches us: "Nothing is impossible!".
I've always loved dancing and even as a teenager I was very interested in sports that combine dance and strength training, such as cheerleading or pole dancing.
As these were hardly widespread in Germany at the time, my involvement in sport was rather limited. I was all the happier when I finally discovered pole dance classes in my neighbourhood in 2015 at the age of 23 and have been training at Pole and Move ever since. Even during my two pregnancies, I continued to train for as long as I could, as long as it felt good. Now, as a mum of two, I'm looking forward to taking off as a trainer and developing creative pole choreographies together with my students.
I have been part of Pole and Move since January 2023, and this sport has fascinated me from the very beginning. I love the combination of strength and dance and the great community that pole dancing brings with it.
I have been a trainer for beginner and stretching courses since December 2023. As it has always been my goal to learn to do the splits, I am particularly pleased to help you achieve this goal in my stretching classes. It is particularly important to me to improve joint mobility and strengthen tendons and ligaments in order to reduce tension, pain and stress. My work as a trainer gives me great pleasure and I look forward to sharing this enthusiasm with you in my classes.

FAQ
Questions & Answers
Your questions, our answers: everything about your Pole and Move experience
Which muscles are trained in pole dancing?
Pole dancing trains the whole body and all muscles are used. Of course, the training effect depends on the type of exercise as well as the specific movement. The biceps & triceps, for example, are trained in pole dancing mainly through the pulling and pushing movement on the pole.
But the buttocks, hip flexors and legs are also optimally shaped during the many floor exercises. Many squats and transitional movements are used for this, which require a lot of leg work.
In every pole exercise in which the body weight is pushed away from the bar, the shoulders and chest muscles are strengthened and toned. In these pull-up-like figures, the strength of the shoulder, trapezius, arm and rhomboid muscles is ideally challenged and strengthened.
The abdominal and core muscles are especially needed when the body lifts off the bar or stretches out into a certain position. Training the abdominal muscles is present in every class.
I have never done pole dancing before. Which course do I sign up for?
To find out if you like pole dancing, sign up for our introductory course. Here you will learn the first basic steps of pole dancing and all important information about our courses.
If you liked it and would like to come back, you can register for a beginner course of your choice.
I already have pole dancing experience and would like to book a course at Pole and Move.
If you already have experience in pole dancing, it makes sense to book a course such as Beginner, Intermediate 1, Intermediate 2 or Advanced and not the taster course, depending on your ability. We are also happy to advise you by phone about our courses and which is best for you.
I have already completed the taster course, how and when do I register for the next course?
You can register for the beginner course at any time. A certain number of figures are taught in our beginner course. The figures only build on each other to a limited extent, so you can join at any time. Book a beginner course of your choice in our booking tool. You will find the link in the "Register" tab.
Do I necessarily have to take out a subscription for the course visits?
No - There are many ways to participate in our courses. In addition to our subscriptions, we also offer 5-person and 10-person cards. We also offer various specials (Christmas, birthday, Valentine's Day, new customer special, etc.). Of course, you can also purchase individual courses.
What do I need for pole dance training?
Do not apply cream or oil before the pole dance training, otherwise you will have no grip on the pole!
We recommend that you do not eat any solid food for 2 hours before training. However, you should drink enough so that your fluid reservoir is filled up, so that you are optimally prepared for an effective training. For the pole dance training you need a pair of short (I) sports shorts, a tank top and a small towel and of course a good mood! Remember to bring a bottle of water (plastic bottles only) as we do not sell drinks on site.
How is the quality of the teaching?
Our professional and internationally experienced trainers already have several years of teaching experience and all have a certified and qualified trainer and/or dance education.
We teach the acrobatic as well as the dance aspects in our pole dance classes. Therefore, our classes focus on building strength and flexibility on the one hand and on dance expression with flowing and elegant movements on the other.
In order to meet the requirements of our participants, our courses are divided into different levels (levels of difficulty): Beginner, Intermediate 1, Intermediate 2 and Advanced.
In addition, all the important sub-areas of pole dance are taught:
- Technique (Static and Spinning)
- Choreography and/or combinations
- Strength and flexibility
- Floorwork
How is the course room equipped?
Our classrooms are approx. 3m high and are equipped with between 7 and 10 X-Poles from the poledance pole manufacturer X-Pert and with Gympoles, depending on the classroom. These poles were specially developed for professional dancers and are suitable for spinning or static training. In addition, we have safety equipment such as an extra custom-made drop mat for acrobatic classes and thus ensure the highest level of safety. We also provide different grip products in class and are happy to advise our students on specially made pole dance gloves for effective training.
For our pole fitness and stretching classes we provide small equipment such as dumbbells and elastic bands as well as extra soft training mats.
How many participants are there in a pole dance class?
In order to create an instructive learning environment, there are only a limited number of participants for each lesson so that each student has their own training equipment available - this minimises the risk of injury and ensures successful and effective training.
Prior registration for our courses is therefore essential.
